No more PC games from Sony?

Sony may be preparing a major shift in its release strategy.

According to Bloomberg, the company no longer plans to bring its biggest PlayStation 5 titles to PC.

Sources familiar with Sony’s plans say the company is moving back toward console exclusivity, stepping away from the multi-platform approach it experimented with over the past six years.

In recent weeks, development of PC versions for several projects — including the samurai action title Ghost of Yōtei — has reportedly been canceled.

If the strategy holds, upcoming single-player releases such as Saros and future first-party titles could remain exclusive to PlayStation 5.

At the same time, Sony is expected to continue releasing online and multiplayer games beyond the PlayStation ecosystem. Projects like Marathon and Marvel Tōkon are still planned as multi-platform releases.

A PlayStation representative declined to comment on the reported strategy change.

The move would mark a significant shift for Sony, which began bringing PlayStation exclusives to PC in 2020 with titles like Horizon Zero Dawn, later followed by God of War, Spider-Man, and others.
